Cookie Policy

Last updated: August 2026

This Cookie Policy explains what cookies and similar browser storage technologies are, how The Weather To Go uses them, and the choices you have. Essential cookies and storage technologies are used where necessary to provide the service. Optional analytics are only activated after you give explicit consent, and you can withdraw that consent at any time.

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently, remember your preferences, and provide information to site owners. Cookies are not harmful and cannot access other files on your device. Similar technologies — such as localStorage and sessionStorage — work in a comparable way and are covered by this policy.

2. How We Use Cookies and Storage

We use essential cookies and storage technologies to keep you logged in to your account and to ensure the site functions correctly. We do not use cookies to serve advertising or to track you across other websites. We also offer optional analytics, which are only activated after you explicitly accept them via the cookie banner.

3. Types of Cookies and Storage We Use

Essential cookies and storage are strictly necessary for the site to function — they enable core features such as user authentication, session management, and security. You cannot opt out of essential cookies without affecting your ability to use the service. Analytics storage is optional and only used after you give explicit consent. It helps us understand how visitors interact with our site so we can improve it. You can withdraw analytics consent at any time.

4. Specific Cookies and Storage We Use

The following technologies are used on this site. better-auth.session_token is an essential HttpOnly session cookie set by our authentication system; it keeps you logged in during your visit and expires when you sign out or your session ends. c2_analytics_consent is stored in your browser's localStorage; it records whether you have accepted or declined analytics, so your preference is remembered across visits. airo-banner-reset is stored in sessionStorage for the duration of your browser tab; it prevents the cookie banner from reappearing within the same tab after you have already responded to it. better-auth.session-recovery-attempted is stored in sessionStorage for the duration of your browser tab; it is a one-shot technical guard that prevents a reload loop if a stale authentication session is detected. If you have accepted analytics, GoDaddy C2 / Insights may store data in your browser to measure site usage; see Section 5 for details.

5. Analytics — GoDaddy C2 / Insights

If you accept analytics via the cookie banner, we use GoDaddy C2 / Insights to help us understand how the site is used. This service may collect information such as page paths visited, page titles, referrer URLs, and interaction or click data. WTG does not intentionally send personally identifiable account information to C2. Analytics are not activated until you give explicit consent, and you can withdraw consent at any time using the cookie preferences link in the banner.

6. Third-Party Cookies

WTG does not currently set third-party advertising or tracking cookies. Links to Booking.com and Skyscanner are outbound links; if you follow one of those links, you will leave WTG and visit a third-party website. Any cookies or tracking set by Booking.com, Skyscanner, or other third-party sites are governed by their own privacy and cookie policies, not this one. WTG does not currently have active affiliate tracking in place.

7. Your Choices

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies, or to be notified when a cookie is set. Please note that blocking essential cookies will prevent you from logging in and using account features. Blocking or declining analytics cookies will not affect your ability to use the service in any way. You can also withdraw analytics consent at any time by clicking the cookie preferences link in the banner at the bottom of the page.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in technology, regulation, or our practices. When we make material changes, we will update the date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.

9. Contact Us

If you have any questions about our use of cookies, please contact us at [email protected]. For broader privacy questions, please refer to our Privacy Policy.
